Lilla, this year’s Guildford ‘Junior Citizen’ Picture Competition winner, chose Amazon vouchers for her £50 prize. Here she is being presented with these, together with a Junior Citizen certificate and laminated copy of her artwork, which was based around wildfires, by Thames Basin Heaths Partnership’s Michael Jones and Freedom Leisure’s Melanie Main together with her colleague, Chris Sexton (Healthy Communities Manager), at the Park Mead School in Cranleigh.
Melanie Main, General Manager at the Guildford Spectrum said “It was a pleasure to be invited to Park Mead School to present Lilla with her well-deserved award for her incredible artwork. During the visit, I was inspired by the children’s enthusiasm as they spoke passionately about keeping themselves and others safe. At Freedom Leisure, we are committed to improving lives through leisure and it is a privilege to be able to help support Child Safety Media to deliver such an important programme that makes a positive difference to young people in our community. I am looking forward to welcoming the current year 6 children next year.”
On behalf of all the Junior Citizen team, CONGRATULATIONS Lilla, we hope you have fun spending your £50 gift voucher – enjoy!
