Friday, the 13th, saw the close of our latest Reigate & Banstead ‘Junior Citizen’ child safety event, which took place at Surrey County Council Headquarters, Woodhatch Place.
Wednesday, 11th February 2026 was our Showcase Day, and we were pleased to welcome Kevin Maslin and Alexis Suggett (from Cubic Transportation Systems), Rachel Frempong and Deya Skenderi (from Toyota (GB) Ltd) and Amy Hebben-Wadey (from The TALK ABOUT Trust).
Over a two week period, approximately 1,400 year 6 pupils attended this year’s event, and our guests’ observed pupils from Trinity Oaks Church of England Primary School and Manorfield Primary & Nursery School, in Horley, as they took part in a series of workshops delivered by South East Coast Ambulance Service, Network Rail and GTR/Southern, Barclays Bank, Hope UK and Surrey Child and Family Health (School Nurses).
We greatly appreciate the support of our sponsors Toyota (GB) Ltd and Cubic Transportation Systems, for without them this project would not have been possible.
Kevin Maslin, SVP and Managing Director EMEA, Cubic Transportation Systems, added:-
“Alexis and I thoroughly enjoyed the Reigate and Banstead Junior Citizen child safety event this morning. Cubic are incredibly proud to be a key sponsor of such a great event. We enjoyed participating in the sessions and it was great to see the children so engaged throughout the morning.”
