Over 1,400 Year 6 children, from 23 different schools across the Borough, attended Elmbridge Junior Citizen between 6th and 23rd June. This was the largest number of children to take part in the scheme both in the Borough and across Surrey in recent years.
Junior Citizen is a great way for children to learn vital safety lessons such as first aid, fire safety, internet safety, railway safety, water safety and stranger danger.
Special congratulations to the winner of our artwork competition – Freya Robinson from St Lawrence C of E Aided Junior School in East Molesey.
The competition was open to everyone who attended the Juinior Citizen event and the winning entrant received a £50 voucher to spend at a store of their choice.
Freya was presented with her prize by Nic Martin from Elmbridge Borough Council, PC Phil Jebb and PCSO Jasmine Reed at the school awards assembly on Thursday 21st July 2016.
