Child Safety Media is coordinating a series of interactive workshops that will provide crucial safety education to more than 1,500 Year 6 pupils (aged 10-11 years) from schools across Trafford.

The ‘hands-on’ safety events will teach children about important issues that are often overlooked in the curriculum such as personal safety, crime prevention, internet safety, anti-bullying and anti-social behaviour.

These messages will be delivered by local safety agencies to give pupils the unique opportunity to learn valuable skills from the professionals, through interactive demonstrations and discussions in real life situations.

They include sessions by Greater Manchester Police, Trafford Housing Trust, Trafford Council’s Safer Communities Team, Phoenix Futures Young People’s Service, Trafford Strategic Transport & Road Safety Unit, Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust – Trafford Community Services and British Transport Police.

The workshops run from Monday 19th January to 3rd February at Mersey Valley Sports Club, Banky Lane, Sale.
