Here are some photos from our recent Tandridge ‘Junior Citizen’ event – VIP Day which took place on Wednesday, 16th October 2024. The event ran from the 11th to the 17th of October during which time over 500 Year 6 children (10-11 Year Olds) from local primary schools across the borough took part in a series of interactive safety workshops which taught them some incredibly valuable lessons in a fun environment.
The event was held at the Lingfield Park racecourse provided courtesy of Debbie Hay, General Manager, with support from her colleagues Nicole Forster and Page Allen, and was sponsored again by SECOM Plc and Croudace Homes Ltd.
Participating agencies were Children and Family Health Surrey (School Nurses), Network Rail and GTR/Southern, MyBnk, Hope UK, SECOM Plc and South East Coast Ambulance Service, and our on-site co-ordinator for the event was Gary Perks.
We were honoured to welcome Deputy Lieutenant Giles Verity and Matthew Norris, Managing Director at Croudace Homes to the VIP Day, where they witnessed children from both Hamsey Green Primary School and Warlingham Park School learning vital life skills as part of the scheme to help them become safer in their communities.
