We’ve been having a fun-packed and busy time at our Elmbridge Junior Citizen event in Surrey. Wednesday (15th June) was our VIP Day, and we were honoured to welcome the High Sheriff of Surrey, His Honour Christopher Critchlow DL, and his wife Wendy, together with Councillor Simon Waugh, Mayor of Elmbridge.

Also joining us were Inspector Bert Dean, Elmbridge Borough Commander, Surrey Police, Mark Stewart, Elmbridge Borough Commander, Surrey Fire & Rescue Service, Councillor Sarah Jane Croke, Housing, Safeguarding & Support Portfolio, Surrey Heath Borough Council, Jayne Boitoult, Community Partnership Officer, Surrey Heath Borough Council, Molly Slominski, Partnerships & Community Safety Officer, Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey.

Our guests were able to watch while pupils from Bell Farm Primary School, based in Walton on Thames, took part in a variety of interactive safety education and wellbeing workshops presented by Surrey Police, Children and Family Health (Surrey School Nurses), the RNLI, South East Coast Ambulance Service, PA Housing and Surrey Fire & Rescue Service.

The event commenced on 6 June and runs till 22 June, during which time we will have welcomed over 1500 pupils from local schools.
