This year’s Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley ‘Junior Citizen’ event is currently running at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Stand at Epsom Downs Racecourse, which has been very kindly provided courtesy of General Manager, Jim Allen.

By the time the event finishes on 17 March, approximately 1,700 Year 6 children (10-11 Year Olds) from local primary schools across the two boroughs will have taken part in a series of interactive safety workshops provided by participating agencies such as South East Coast Ambulance Service, Network Rail, MyBnk, RNLI and British Transport Police.  These pupils are at an important stage in their lives as they prepare to transition from primary to secondary school.

In addition to thanking our workshops teams, we would also like to thank our sponsors Toyota GB and the Jockey Club, for without their support this vital educational project would not have been possible.  Thanks also go to our on-site event coordinators Gary Perks and Athina Inneh, with our final thanks going to the racecourse’s events team (especially Amberley Sharp and Abby Pettit) who ensured that the event ran smoothly and made us all very welcome.

Here’s a selection of photos, including some from our Showcase Day where we were honoured to have Toyota’s CSR & Communications Manager, Laura Conlin, and Chair of Mole Valley, Cllr Elizabeth Daly, join us along with pupils from Wallace Fields Junior School.
