We had a fabulous day on Wednesday 8th February at the Reigate and Banstead Junior Citizen event, held at the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service headquarters. Our coordinators Gary Perks and Wendy Roberts managed the event and looked after the pupils from Manorfield Primary and Nursery School and Meath Green Junior School who attended.
The participating agencies were the RNLI, HOPE UK, Children and Family Health Surrey (School Nurses), British Transport Police, Network Rail and GTR Southern, Thames Basin Heaths Partnership, and South East Coast Ambulance Service, and we extend our thanks to them for their input to the day.
The day was made extra special as we had some VIP guests too. Mrs Johanna (Joosje) Hamilton, the Deputy Lieutenant to the Surrey Lieutenancy, His Honour Christopher Critchlow DL, High Sheriff of Surrey, Councillor Frank Kelly, the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead, Sue White, CSR committee member from Fidelity International, Alexis Suggett and Jonathan Rowe, Directors from Cubic Transport Systems, David Wells, Head of Community Resilience, South East Coast Ambulance Service, and Tara Webster, Building Facilities Manager for Surrey County Council.
As always, we extend special thanks to our sponsors, Fidelity International and Raven Housing Trust (main sponsors), AIG Life, and Cubic Transport Systems, who made the event possible.
And not forgetting Hardings Coaches for providing transport for the pupils and teachers.
