Monday (16 May) saw the start of our Sefton Crucial Crew event. We’re super excited, as not only is this our first Sefton event, but it’s also the first time that we’ve hosted an event at Aintree Racecourse, so huge thanks to The Jockey Club for allowing us to use the venue, including The Queen Mother Stand.
This is a two-week event, during which time we’ll be welcoming around 1300 pupils from local schools and they’ll be taking part in a range of safety education activities.
The participating agencies for the event are Merseyside Police, British Transport Police, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, Active Sefton, The Dogs Trust and Mersey Care. We extend our thanks to them also for their commitment and dedication to making the event a success and helping to keep our young people safe.
This is one of many safety education events that we are running during 2022 and by the end of the year we will have delivered important safety and wellbeing workshops to around 30,000 children.
