The NSPCC have shared information about a new initiative –
You might have heard some of the heartbreaking stories being shared through the ‘Everyone’s Invited’ site. With at least a third of sexual offences against children being committed by other young people, it’s vital this is addressed.
A new NSPCC helpline with the Department for Education is now available for both children and adults who are victims of recent or historic sexual harassment and abuse in schools or education. All children should be able to grow up in a safe community that is free from sexual violence, where their rights are respected.
You can contact us on 0800 136 663 or help@nspcc.org.uk for support and advice. In an emergency, call 999.
