This is Safiyah, previously of Moss Bury Primary School (now of The Thomas Alleyne Academy), who was the lucky winner of our 2023/24 Stevenage ‘Crucial Crew’ picture competition.
Safiyah requested One4all vouchers for her £50 prize, and here she is receiving them along with a ‘Crucial Crew’ certificate from Chief Inspector Graeme Walsingham of Hertfordshire Constabulary.
Congratulations Safiyah, we hope you enjoy your prize.
Those present in the above prize-giving photograph were, from left to right, Safiyah’s Father, Muzakkir Hashim; Headteacher of Moss Bury Primary School, Callum Newbury; PCSO Nicola Lewis of Hertfordshire Constabulary; Safiyah; Chief Inspector Graeme Walsingham of Hertfordshire Constabulary.
Chief Inspector Graeme Walsingham of Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “I was delighted to meet Safiyah, present her with her prize and see her artwork. The Crucial Crew initiative is extremely valuable for young students in our community, as it provides them with the opportunity to learn personal safety skills in a fun way, which may not always be available to them within the national curriculum.”
Callum Newbury, Headteacher of Moss Bury Primary School added: “Crucial Crew is a vital scheme that ensures that the children of our community learn skills and knowledge around safety, a thread that is essential in our curriculum here at Moss Bury. The children always return to school with life-long memories and important strategies for keeping safe. We are very proud of Safiyah’s achievement and want to thank all those that were involved in the presentation today.”
